Black shrink wrapped
allow my hands to submerge
beneath that cotton stitch
creating uneven forms
underhanded and overlegged
On edge
Pin me down
against your thigh
between a nylon/lyrca weave
Make me watch your hand
beneath that cotton divide
pushing mine into place
fingerspaces and foreign forms

In 2008 I self-published a book called Dismissive Disguise, it spans fourteen years of selected compositions, bound in one collection. I designed the cover which was taken from two poems entitled "Man & Woman", written in 1996. Dismissive Disguise is available to buy, from Lulu and Amazon.

Background
The background design for this blog is based on a 1962 Czeckoslovakian road map. I have a fascination with maps and layout of information. Maps present a frozen snapshot in time, much like a poem. Maps don't offer up directions, they show many routes we could take. The colours in this map and the tree like structures reminded me of Mondrian’s art.
