Concrete Womb

The ex-service men demands
the cenotaph
be cleaned
be forehand
be stripped of moss and grassy stems
that reach towards the heavens end
those tiny arms from a concrete womb
new life seeded
will be removed too soon
As water jets strip from them
their resting place
once again
under-fire
and pulled from root
another death
another dispute

  2. Thanks Dolly, I wasn't actually happy with those last 2 lines, so I'm glad you've picked up on them and like them.. :)
