About Me

I've been writing poetry since the mid 1990's. I write for pleasure and also as a reflective way of creatively analysing my own human situation.   In the late 90's I was published in various poetry anthologies and won a few competitions for my writing.  I am interested in concrete poetry, also in concrete art and letter forms.  I am fascinated with wordplay and double meaning.

My book Dismissive Disguise came about after I was encouraged to produce a book of poems by my closest friend who loved to read my work.  I looked at all the poems I'd written and came up with an idea of a relationship in three stages: meeting, falling in love, and finally breaking up.  Then my friend and I selected poems that fitted into those categories.   The poems hopefully tell a story of a romance.  The male and female images used on the book cover came from poems I'd written in 1996.

I have appeared in the following poetry anthologies:-

Poetic Words from the East(1994).
Perceptions (1997),
Light Of The World (1997),
Changing Times (1997),
Dimensions of Thought (1998)
